The 2007 Legislative Highlights Newsletter is attached under the Legislative link.  This newsletter will provide you with a short summary of legislation passed during the 2007 Legislative Session. Interim Committees are meeting on a regular basis and I encourage you to begin thinking of possible legislative issues concerning your organization.  The 2008 session will be here shortly and it is critical that legislative platforms be established before the session begins.

The KAAE Novice Teacher program is kicking-off the new year and is ready to serve 1st year teachers during the 2007-2008 school year.  We are actively seeking Novice Teachers to join the program and Mentors to serve the program.  Contact us for more information.  The program will begin on Sunday August 5th, at 1:00 pm at the Capital Plaza Hotel, Topeka.
